Bartuc is one of the demons in Diablo 4, that you can relieve of his loot, which consists of Mythics and Uniques. We will show you where to find and defeat him.
Where can I find Bartuc? To find and defeat Bartuc, you need to venture into the Hell Hordes and complete all waves. For that, you will need compasses, which you can obtain in the Hell floods, from chests in the Whispering Tree, from Nightmare Dungeons, as well as from the Pit.
Once you reach the end of your Hell Hordes run, you can either face the Cruel Council or Bartuc – for Bartuc, you need to spend 666 Ether. The spent currency also counts for the members of your party.

Defeating Bartuc – How does his fight go?
What do I need to know about the fight? Bartuc is relatively easy to defeat, as he is not a particularly mobile boss. With his magic, he moves in the arena between three points (left, center, right) and casts three spells from there:
- Fireballs that jump at you faster as you get closer
- Lightning pillars that cross the arena horizontally and vertically
- Projectiles that seek out a violet orb. Upon reaching it, they teleport to a red orb and fire additional projectiles in specified directions.
In the fight against Bartuc, it is especially important to have a good overview of the arena, as his spells can quickly become overwhelming. So take your time, dodge, and look for gaps to escape the projectiles.
How do I get loot from Bartuc without defeating him? If you don’t feel like battling your way through the waves of the Hell Hordes to get Bartuc’s loot, you can alternatively challenge Belial. However, for his reward chest, you will need “Cloaks of the Traitor,” which you get from Belial when he randomly spawns after another boss fight.
Soon after the fight against Belial, you can decide from which boss loot pool your reward should be drawn – you should choose Bartuc here. This way, you will receive the items from the loot pool of the demon from the reward chest.
