In Diablo 4 you can specifically farm certain Uniques and Mythic Uniques from bosses. Which bosses those are and which items they drop, you will find out here.
In our list you will find all bosses with their associated Uniques and an explanation of how to summon these bosses. All bosses also have a chance to drop Uniques from the general loot pool as well as Mythic Uniques.
With Season 6, Blizzard abolished the world levels and introduced new difficulty levels. All bosses are available starting from Torment Level 1. The higher the level you play at, the better the loot. You unlock the Torment Levels for endgame through the Pit.
Where do I get Shelter Keys for bosses? Shelter keys that you need to open the chest after the boss fight drop at Torment levels, among others from:
- Key loot from War Plans
- World bosses and Legion events
- Chests in the Hell Flood
- Chests from the Whispering Tree
- The Undercity of Kurast
You receive large Shelter Keys as key loot from War Plans and as drops from the smaller Shelter bosses.
Diablo 4: All bosses for Uniques
Varshan: Drops and Location
How do I find the boss? You can find Varshan starting from Torment Level 1 next to the Whispering Tree in his “Boshaftebau”. In addition to Uniques, you receive a trophy for your mount from Varshan.

How do I find the boss? With Season 12, the Butcher has become a permanent shelter boss in Diablo 4. You can find the Butcher in Gea Kul.

Astaroth
How do I find the boss? Astaroth is not part of the shelter bosses. Instead, he awaits you at the end of the Escalating Nightmares – provided you master all three dungeons. To enter the activity, you need escalation seals, which you can obtain as drops or by converting Nightmare Seals in the Horadrim Cube.
How do I summon the boss? With an active seal, you start in the first of three consecutive Nightmare dungeons. If you complete the third Nightmare dungeon successfully, you will reach Astaroth’s shelter.

How do I find the boss? To fight against Bartuc, you need to enter the Hell Hordes and complete all waves. Compasses for the Hell Hordes can be obtained in the Hell Flood, from chests at the Whispering Tree, from Nightmare dungeons, and from the Pit.
How do I summon the boss? At the end of your Hell Hordes run, you can choose to fight against the Cruel Council or face Bartuc. For the fight against Bartuc, you must spend 666 Ether, which also applies to group members. Once you have defeated Bartuc, his rewards will drop on the ground.

Belial, the Lord of Lies: Drops and Location
How do I find the boss? You can find Belial starting from Torment Level 1 in the “Palace of Deception” west of Tarsarak in Kehjistan. To open the loot chest after the boss fight, you need “Cloaks of the Traitor”, which you get from Belial when he randomly spawns after another boss fight. The boss has a particularity regarding his loot since: you can choose it yourself.
How do I summon the boss? You summon Belial at the altar in the “Palace of Deception” at any Torment level. After the boss fight, you can open a chest of your choice with 2 “Cloaks of the Traitor” to access his loot.
With Belial, you choose your loot yourself. Once you have defeated the boss, you receive an overview of all the shelter bosses, from which you can essentially choose a loot drop. For example, if you choose Duriel, the chest will drop Uniques from Duriel’s loot pool.
Diablo 4: Mythic Uniques
Since Season 6, all bosses have a drop chance for Mythic Uniques. They can also drop in endgame activities, such as in the Under City of Kurast, which is part of the expansion “Vessel of Hatred”. You can also craft Mythic Uniques yourself.
