With the Enhanced update, Conan Exiles has become much prettier, but at a “high” price: The exile pendulum of the players now looks like a balloon.
What kind of update is this?
- On May 5, the developer studio Funcom released a free Enhanced Edition for Conan Exiles. With the update, the 8-year-old survival game has been transferred to Unreal Engine 5.
- With the switch to the more modern engine, the game received a large-scale visual overhaul. It now features significantly improved graphics, optimized performance, and modern rendering technology.
- MeinMMO editor Dariusz has already played the update and is impressed by the strong improvement. He finds Conan Exiles Enhanced feels like a new game that has been improved for 8 years.
However, the update also brought a change to the best part of the playable character – much to the dismay of some fans.

What change is making fans angry? A small group of Conan Exiles fans has gathered on Reddit because the Enhanced update has broken their physics-based companion.
In Funcom’s survival game, you can adjust your organic club at will in the character editor using a slider. This was already possible before the Enhanced update, but it has now been overhauled – for the worse, as Reddit user “decker12” points out in his post.
Instead of increasing the swinging starting equipment of the character when the slider is moved to the right, it looks as if the player’s personal one-handed sword is being inflated like a balloon. “If you push it all the way to the right, you should see a doctor because it looks like you have a bee sting,” criticizes the user.
The problem is that the exile pendulum now scales in height and width as the slider is moved – and not just in length. Reddit users find this unnatural. One player comments: “What used to be silly but immersive is now just weird and doesn’t work anymore.”
The same problem is also said to exist for the bust size of female characters.
