With the new update, Conan Exiles receives new content and a ton of improvements. One of these should particularly please veterans: Legendary items can finally be repaired!
On July 21, the first major content update for Conan Exiles, titled Legacy of the Giant Kings, was released since the huge Enhanced Rework in May – or more accurately: the first part of the update, with three more to follow in the upcoming months.
Already, the update brings a new dungeon, the Cyclopean Halls beneath the Nameless City, designed for endgame players and enticing with powerful loot… if you survive the deadly rope bridges. The undead, fire-breathing dragons, on the other hand, sound less dangerous.
However, the likely biggest highlight of the patch is the ability to repair legendary weapons and armor. Until now, these items would wear down to their inevitable end, and durability could not be restored – except with a trick that would surely qualify as an exploit.
With the update, it is now possible to repair damaged Legendaries. Finally, you won’t have to farm that ridiculous katana a dozen times and store it in the personal chest next to your bed!
Conan Exiles receives a ton of “Quality of Life” improvements
Besides the dungeon and the ability to repair Legendaries, Funcom is primarily improving the gameplay experience, including:
- increased inventory limit (210 instead of 200 slots)
- more customization options for animals and war paint
- workstations that now more reliably choose the strongest thralls
- FSR Frame Generation for older generations of Nvidia graphics cards
You can find the complete patch notes on page 2.
On Reddit, however, some players report issues with the update, including faulty dodging rolls or missing chests. It is possible that this is related to mods. We therefore recommend waiting until all mods have also been updated.

With the Enhanced update, Conan Exiles has brought back tens of thousands of players to Steam in one go. The free remaster was a strong step forward for the survival game, and genre fans can look forward to truly strong content throughout the year: 2026 is the best survival year in a long time, and 3 new hits are already confirmed
