The Series The Boys is coming to an end, but it will soon continue with Vought Rising. With Stormfront, a familiar face is on board. However, its comic counterpart probably wouldn’t have fit into the series.

What is known about Vought Rising? It is known that the series takes place before The Boys, namely in the 1950s. The main characters we already know from the future
: The series revolves around Soldier Boy, played by Jensen Ackles, and Stormfront, played by Aya Cash. Additionally, there are characters like the superhero Bombsight, who recently appeared in The Boys.
What role does Stormfront play? The villainess Stormfront has an extensive backstory, which is currently also being highlighted in the last season of The Boys.
We remember: In The Boys, Stormfront is a racist Nazi supervillain who shoots lightning. She, however, disguises herself under the guise of a modern social media influencer and keeps her true motives under wraps for a while. She later becomes the lover of Homelander, only to be defeated by Kimiko, Starlight, and Maeve, and ultimately nearly finished off by Ryan when she attacks his mother. She dies shortly thereafter.
In Vought Rising, Stormfront’s past will be highlighted. From The Boys, we already know that she was also the lover of Soldier Boy – back then still under the name Liberty. It is also already known that back then she was the wife of Frederick Vought – under the name Clara Vought. And it is clear that she already had deeply evil intentions back then.
Vought Rising will likely take a closer look at this dynamic. It is also clear: With Stormfront’s comic version, the series would probably look very different.
Who was Stormfront in the comics of The Boys?
Let’s take a look at the differences between Stormfront from the series and Stormfront from the comics.
In the comics, Stormfront is a male supe with a distinctly military background. However, like the series’ Stormfront, he is a Nazi who shoots lightning.
He is one of the earliest supes, whose true motivation was obscured by Vought. He later led the supe team Payback, which served as a sort of second team alongside the Seven.
His end comes through a fight with the Boys. He can defeat Kimiko, MM, and Butcher, but when the other Boys arrive, Stormfront is defeated. Frenchie plays an important role in this, as does the supe Love Sausage, who in his series version would hardly have come to the Boys’ aid.
Overall, this Stormfront is a much rougher and louder version of the character, who openly expresses his hatred. The at least initially subtler Stormfront from the series works more from the shadows, scheming.
And that will likely become interesting in the series Vought Rising. Stormfront’s double game, with the marriage to Frederick Vought, the mask Liberty, and her general nature, is likely to produce a very different series than would be the case with the Stormfront from the comics. Therefore, this version would be impossible to integrate into the current series.
