The new Horadrim Cube brings several new options to Diablo 4 for crafting powerful items. Players are currently testing various recipes, and one of them can protect important stats on your items.
What kind of trick is this? In a YouTube video, Diablo expert wudijo shows how to prevent desired affixes from being lost when crafting in the Horadrim Cube. Normally, the cube removes random values when modifying, which often leads to the best stat disappearing.
To keep a specific affix, you enchant that exact value on the item at the occultist, but without really changing it. Select the affix you want to keep, click on “Enchant,” and then make sure to click on “No Change.” According to wudijo, this locks that value in the game, and this lock also applies in the Horadrim Cube. Especially for valuable Greater Affixes, this is an ideal method to ensure safety while crafting.
The Horadrim Cube is part of Lord of Hatred, the second expansion for Diablo 4:
Fans believe: The trick is too strong – maybe just a bug
Why do players think it will be patched? In the comments under the video, many advise taking advantage of the trick while it lasts. Users like itubogdan suspect that Blizzard will soon address this, as the method seems almost too powerful. Some even consider it a bug.
Others argue against this and refer to Blizzard’s own statements. The developers explicitly encourage players in a blog post to experiment with the cube. The developers write, for example: “If you’ve tried all the functions of the Horadrim Cube, it still holds more surprises. […] You might find unknown ingredients in the unlikeliest places.” The cube can “work wonders” and lead to interesting results.
Regardless of this specific trick, the community agrees that the Horadrim Cube is a powerful tool for crafting in the endgame. The feature even significantly enhances the weakest items, as they now serve as valuable raw materials. This currently ensures that blue items in Diablo 4 are exchanged for billions.
