MeinMMO editor Jasmin and MeinMMO author Johanna enjoy playing Palworld together, especially since the 1.0 release. A particular Pal must not be missing, as it helps them in two ways.
When Jasmin and I started our 1.0 release adventure in Palworld, she pointed out an item to me: the Ring of Grace. An article of clothing that prevents the player’s attacks from killing the attacked Pals. There will always be at least 1 HP left, which makes the ring particularly suitable for catching Pals.
However, unlocking this ring takes some time, as it must be specifically unlocked with Antique Technology
points, which can only be acquired through boss battles. In the early game, Jasmin and I had to be extra careful, as it was not uncommon for us to accidentally deal a fatal shot with our bows. We wanted to catch that cute Pal! Damn.
But then we stumbled upon Daedream. Since our discovery, this Pal must always be in our team, as it has provided us with the perfect solution to two problems.
Daedream becomes a true dream
Daedream has the partner ability Demonic Dream Hunter
. This ability allows Daedream to always float by your side, whether you have another Pal outside the sphere or not. Additionally, Daedream cannot deal fatal blows as a passive companion.
This Pal is useful in two ways:
- With Daedream by your side, you have an additional Pal that supports you in battle. This can make a difference in some difficult fights.
- If you’re on the hunt for Pals to catch, then Daedream, with its ability, is the best contact. It injures the Pals, so you can catch them more easily, but does not kill them.
For Jasmin and me, since our encounter with Daedream, it was clear that this Pal is the perfect solution for us until we can craft the Ring of Grace. Although we can still accidentally end the lives of Pals with our bows, we now just hold back a bit more and let our Daedreams take care of most of the fighting.
- One more tip! We also constantly have another Pal on our team: Herbil. The cute squirrel-like Pal brings you back to life after you have died. Where can I find Daedream? If you want to have Daedream yourself, you won’t have to search for too long. The Pal appears at night in the starting area; that is, between the Highlands of the Grass Giant and the Hills of Departure. For this reason, this Pal is perfect for the early game, as you can practically get it immediately.
