A player had to realize 200 hours too late that he missed out on one of the most effective items in Palworld for too long. He wants to warn the community not to make the same mistake, but they have other helpful hints.
What kind of item is it? It is the “Ring of Mercy” (in German “Ring der Gnade”), whose benefit became apparent to the player and Reddit user Forsaken-I-Await only after 200 hours. It works similarly to the Pokémon move “Fake Out”, but in the form of an item:
When the ring is equipped, the player’s attacks cannot reduce the target’s health below 1. Therefore, the target will not be knocked out, no matter how powerful the attack is, and can be caught more easily without caution.
The player is annoyed that he only noticed this advantage after all those hours and hopes that his Reddit post can warn other players:
“I have no problem admitting what a complete idiot I was! Don’t do it like I did – get the ring as soon as possible and always keep it in your pocket!”
The ring is just one of many powerful items
What does the community say about the hint? The players of Palworld have already come across further content that they don’t want to withhold from the player.
Among the recommendations are
- the “Ability Glasses”, which allow you to see the health, attack, and defense values of a Pal,
- the “Pal Laboratory Research Lab” (short PLRL), which can improve the base effects like a skill tree, and
- the feature to store items with the push of a button, which we have already reported on MeinMMO.
What else do they say about the player’s faux pas? Under the post by Forsaken-I-Await, players write that he is not the only one to have such blinders on while playing and that it has happened to many of them before:
“You don’t have to feel bad,” writes DistractedBoxTurtle, “I went through the same thing. My wife, who has far fewer hours played than I do, had to tell me about the ring.”
Even KerbalFrog has to admit: “I usually read about things like this only after 320 hours, before I try it myself… Oh my God.”
