What’s new in Apex Legends? After it was announced at E3 2019 that Season 2 of the battle royale shooter Apex Legends will be released in July, fans are eagerly waiting to see what the developers have in store. On July 2, Season 2 “Battle Charge” will kick off.
These are the highlights of Apex Legends in June
By the launch of Season 2, the map of Apex Legends will be overhauled. This is likely due to the monsters that, according to various leaks and teasers, will descend upon the region and cause considerable destruction. Some of these creatures may also be featured as PvE elements in the game.
Additionally, the developers want to finally introduce daily and weekly challenges in Season 2. This way, you can work through the contents of the new battle pass more effectively and earn goodies consistently.
The new battle pass will again contain a lot of items, but here, too, lessons have been learned from past mistakes. In Season 1, there were a lot of badges that were essentially just tokens with numbers. Hardly anyone liked this. In Season 2, this should change, and there will be more meaningful items and skins.
Additionally, a new legend and a weapon will be introduced:
- Wattson will be the new heroine in Season 2. She is a very tactical character and can control the battlefield with her electro fences and defensive pylons. She supports her teammates with a shield boost.
- A new weapon called L-Star, a type of machine gun, will only appear in supply drops due to its great power. It can even shoot through doors and take out enemies in seconds.
Why should you play Apex Legends in June?
First of all, the imminent start of Season 2 means you don’t have much time left to rocket through Season 1. So, if you want a specific banner or the ultimate weapon skin at the end, you should put in a solid effort now.
However, if you are eagerly waiting for new features and items in Apex Legends, the launch of Season 2 might be the response to all your desires.
