Not only 7 vs. Wild wants to return to its roots, a new competitor is also trying to implement what made the survival show popular in the first place.
What kind of series is this? 6 Districts is its own series, very much in the spirit of 7 vs. Wild. 6 candidates must endure for 6 days in 6 different, name-giving districts. The series is not from Fritz Meinecke, CaliVision or other former participants, but defines itself as a self-made community project.
Especially exciting seem to be the name-giving districts. Unlike 7 vs. Wild, the candidates do not have as equal conditions; instead, each has their own district with its own opportunities and challenges.
Accordingly, the equipment is also distributed according to the district. A more difficult location gets more equipment, a lighter location less equipment. This creates a balance, which also becomes important for the challenges.

What are the challenges about? The creators of 6 Districts have clearly taken season 1 of 7 vs. Wild and the original idea from Fritz Meinecke as inspiration and brought back the challenges of the show. The participants will have to complete a task every day.
Depending on how the survivors fare, they will receive points, which will determine the winner of 6 Districts at the end. Which challenges will make it into the series is still open. Here, viewers are encouraged to leave their ideas in the comments under the trailer on YouTube.

Who is behind the series? The series is a community project by the founders York Hovest and Florian Deimer. According to initial rumors, survival expert Joe Vogel was also supposed to be behind the show, but this seems to no longer be the case after the first trailer.
There is also a special feature regarding the broadcast: The episodes will appear simultaneously with the candidates on YouTube, meaning you don’t need an Amazon account to follow the series.
Nevertheless, the series does not run entirely without familiar faces. The trailer features marine biologist Robert Marc Lehmann from Mission Erde as the narrator, who introduces the adventure. The show starts on July 10, 2026 on YouTube.
