What is it about? Anzu is happy in her life. As long as she has video games, chocolate, and her cat, she couldn’t be better off. She doesn’t need a man in her life, as she can experience romances in video games. The perfect single life, where one doesn’t have to worry about anything.
At least, that’s how it could be. Because when she tries out a new otome game, the game’s mascot Riri comes out of the screen to her and explains that now different rules apply. Her three favorite things are confiscated, while Riri ensures that Anzu has all sorts of “random” encounters with some extremely handsome guys, who all have a pronounced affection for Anzu.
However, Anzu is not intimidated by this. She wants to resist Riri’s seduction attempts until the end – she becomes the “Romantic Killer,” which is not always easy in some situations…
What makes Romantic Killer so special? Romantic Killer is above all one thing: simple, well-functioning entertainment. It takes all the clichés you typically find in ordinary harem anime, turns the genders upside down, and shows that it can work if characters have more than just one trait and bring a bit more depth with them. If you’re in a bad mood and just want to grin satisfyingly, Romantic Killer is the perfect choice.
