Denji is a teenager without a permanent home. He lives in absolute poverty and simply tries to survive each day. He even sells his organs and works as an illegal devil hunter to earn a living, accompanied by his chainsaw devil Pochita.
His ultimate goal is therefore just to lead a normal life. He envisions it as follows:
- three meals a day, preferably toast with jam
- a clean bed
- a girl by his side
- to experience physical closeness
