In Pokémon GO, you can soon collect tons of Stardust. But first, you need to prepare accordingly.
Stardust is a resource that most trainers in Pokémon GO can hardly have enough of. After all, you need it not only to teach your monsters an additional Charged Attack or level up Dynamax Attacks, but also especially to increase the level of the monsters.
If you feel the same way, then you should prepare well now and wait for an event in August. By combining both, you can grab a decent amount of Stardust.
Get out and do field research
What kind of event is this? From August 18 to 24, 2026, the Hyperbonus: Water Festival will take place in Pokémon GO. During this event, there will be increasingly stronger bonuses for catching XP and catching Stardust.
From August 22 to 24, 2026, you will not only receive 4 times the amount of XP for catching monsters, but also 5 times the amount of Stardust. And you can already prepare for this bonus now.
What should I do now? There are monsters in Pokémon GO that generally give you more Stardust when caught. And you can get some of them through the current Evergreen Week and the current season in field research.
To catch them only in August, you need to complete the respective field research tasks. Once you receive one of the following monsters as a reward, exit the catch screen. You will then catch the monsters in August when the highest Stardust bonus is active.
The following monsters with increased Stardust rewards are currently active in field research and can be found in the respective tasks. In parentheses, you will find the amount of Stardust that the Pokémon normally provides.
Field research for the Evergreen Week:
- Defeat a Team GO Rocket Grunt: Bubungus (500)
- Walk 1 km: Bubungus (500)
- Make 5 nice throws: Bubungus (500)
Field research for the Season:
- Hatch an egg: Ohrdoch (2,100) or Wadribie (750)
- Walk 2 km: Paras (500)
- Evolve a Pokémon: Starmie (950)
- Defeat a Team GO Rocket Grunt: Mauzi (500)
- Spin 5 PokéStops or Gyms: Unratütox (750)
If you collect these monsters until the event, activate a Star Piece here and then catch them, you will receive 7.5 times the amount of dust for each catch. A single Ohrdoch can bring you 15,750 Stardust.
