What is a Dynamax attack? Dynamax attacks are attacks that can only be performed by your Pokémon when they are in their Dynamax form. They can only take this form in Dyna Battles.
When you receive a new Dyna Pokémon, it can initially only use one of three available Dyna attacks. If you want to use the other two attacks, you must unlock them first by collecting some resources.
How to unlock Dyna attacks
Where can I unlock new Dynamax attacks? To unlock a new attack, you first need to go to the information window of your Pokémon. Here, you can either press “Dynamax” to view the attacks, or scroll down a bit.
Now you will see the Dynamax attacks your Pokémon has and can increase the level of the attacks or unlock new attacks.
What does it cost to unlock new attacks? If you want to unlock a previously locked Dynamax attack, it will cost you 400 Dyna particles and 50 candies from the Pokémon.
If you want to strengthen an attack after unlocking it, the costs are as follows:
- Level 1 to 2: 600 Dyna particles, 100 – 130 candies
- Level 2 to 3: 800 Dyna particles, 40 – 55 XL candies
Level 3 is the highest level a Dyna attack can have. If you lack the particles for unlocking and leveling, you can receive particles every 2 km or visit power sources.
Changing Dyna attacks
Can I change Dyna attacks? Yes, you can change the Dyna attack of your Pokémon. This is possible for the first attack that deals damage.
This attack depends on your Pokémon’s quick attack. If you change this attack using a TM, the Dyna attack that your Pokémon knows will also change.

So far, there are not many Dyna Pokémon, so correspondingly not all Dyna attacks are known yet. Since the feature apparently adopts the attacks from the main series games in Pokémon GO, you can probably look forward to the following attacks:

- Dyna-magic (Fairy)

In addition to these attacks that deal damage, there are also two other abilities that your Dyna Pokémon can use.
One of them is the Dyna-wall, which creates a barrier that reduces the damage taken by your Pokémon and your allies.
Additionally, there is the Dyna-fighting spirit, with which you can restore the hit points of your Pokémon and the allied monsters in battle.
