When the update 11.0.7 for World of Warcraft goes live on December 17, 2024, a rare 2-seater mount is also expected to find its way back into the MMORPG.
What kind of mount is this? According to data miners, the Blizzard officials have adjusted the source for the X-53 Touring Rocket, which can seat up to two players. It was originally a reward for the “Refer a Friend” program of World of Warcraft.
The program works like this: Every time one of your recruited friends adds game time to their account, you earn progress towards a new reward. The more friends you recruit, the easier it becomes to collect all the goodies.
Current incentives include the mount Rocket Shredder 9001 (via worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com) for 6 completed monthly subscriptions. You haven’t been able to obtain the X-53 Touring Rocket this way for quite some time.

What is the new source for the rocket? As reported by icy-veins.com, the X-53 Touring Rocket is expected to be available at the trading post sometime after the release of 11.0.7 and will cost 100 trader currencies – you probably have to wait until February 2025.
Why February 2025? Well, the X-53 Touring Rocket was available for a few weeks at the trading post in February 2024. This month is particularly special because WoW was released in Europe in February 2005. Given the current celebrations for the 20th anniversary of the MMORPG, this gains even more significance.
