WoW: Forever does many things differently in detail than classic World of Warcraft. This primarily affects the balancing of the classes. MeinMMO names the 5 biggest winners of the beta.
What makes our winners? We combine our experiences from the beta, the revised talent trees, and Blizzard’s announcements to present to you the 5 class specializations that, in our view, benefit the most from Forever. So we are not focusing on the strongest tanks, healers, and damage dealers, but on the archetypes that can make the biggest leap compared to Vanilla WoW or WoW Classic.
Keep in mind, though, that the beta is still ongoing and developers will surely continue to work on the balancing of the classes until the final release on November 5. Our 5 winners should still provide exciting options for every Forever player.

Protection Paladin in WoW Forever:
You might know them, the players who tried to play the Paladin as a tank successfully in Vanilla WoW or WoW Classic. With a lot of effort and experience, this was occasionally possible. Especially when using the holy warrior to farm dungeons filled with undead.
In standard groups and raids, however, he was only used in exceptional cases. Important tools such as a taunt spell or threat generation from other tanks were simply missing. And as soon as the mana supply was exhausted, a Paladin couldn’t even tank his furious ex-wife.
But all of that is history! The Protection Paladin can finally enjoy everything in Forever that was denied to him in the Classic past: a taunt, improved threat generation, mana regeneration, and stronger survivability mechanics.
His playstyle focuses on converting enemy attacks into threat, damage, and increased block chance. The Protection Paladin also has clear strengths when it comes to tanking multiple enemies simultaneously (in fights against a single target, the new Protection Warrior may be stronger), making him a very efficient leveling specialization.
In addition, the many tools of the class, which every group appreciates, such as blessings, cleanses, emergency heals, or strong cooldowns. And the fact that Holy Paladins are still strong single-target healers, but no longer as overpowered as they were in Vanilla WoW or Classic. All of this makes the tanking Paladin one of the biggest winners of Forever.
