Christmas is also celebrated in World of Warcraft. But you only have a few days to pick up your gift.
While we celebrate Christmas in the real world, the Feast of Winter Veil takes place in World of Warcraft. Everything is festively decorated, and there are various repeatable quests. However, the highlight every year is the new gift that can be found under the Winter Veil tree. If you want your gift, you should pick it up now – before it disappears.
Snowmen as Gifts
Where can you pick up the gifts? This depends on your faction:
- As a member of the Alliance, you travel to Ironforge and find the large tree with Greatfather Winter and the gifts in front of the bank.
- As a follower of the Horde, you travel to Orgrimmar in the Valley of Strength. The Winter Veil tree stands in front of the (former) war chief’s hut.
From December 25th – so today – the gifts are available under the Winter Veil trees.
What is the new gift for 2025? For the year 2025, there are these 2 new gifts:
- Tiny Snow Buddy: A small pet in the form of a snowman. The pet also acts as a battle pet and can therefore be used for the various pet battle challenges.
- Jubilant Snowman Costume: A toy that allows you to transform yourself into a snowman. During the transformation, you can throw gifts that chase other characters and attack with snowballs. You can also throw snowballs yourself – which can then even be looted as an item.
Until when do you have time? If you can’t play in the next few hours, don’t worry. The Feast of Winter Veil lasts until January 1, 2026. So you have about a week to make a short stop at the Winter Veil tree and grab the gift.
If that doesn’t happen, it’s not the end of the world. Because all gifts can still be obtained in subsequent years – although it may involve some farming effort and a lot of luck. Those who can seize the opportunity should act soon.
But there’s also another thing you can farm only for a short time – at least effectively: This housing resource will soon be harder to obtain.
