Progress in the Beta of World of Warcraft Classic. Blizzard allows characters to level up higher and reduces the respec costs by 99%.
The Beta of World of Warcraft Classic progresses to the next phase. “New” content is being tested and additional areas, along with quests, are being made more accessible. Furthermore, the developers want to encourage players to respec and put the PvP of the Arathi Basin to the test.
Level cap is raised: Since last night (06.04.2019), the level cap in the Classic Beta has increased. Players can now level up to 40 and explore new areas. This includes zones such as the Stranglethorn Vale, Desolace, the Arathi Highlands, and several others.
Arathi Basin is unlocked: In addition to the Arathi Highlands, there will also be extensive tests of the Arathi Basin, the second battleground of World of Warcraft Classic. Anyone who wants to register for the battleground must have reached at least level 20.
Warsong Gulch takes a break: To ensure that players can really focus on the Arathi Basin, Warsong Gulch will be disabled. Anyone who wants to engage in PvP in a battleground must therefore register for Arathi. The test of the Arathi Basin will begin on June 6.
Respec will be cheaper: To motivate players to try out other specializations and to look for mistakes or issues, the costs for respec will be drastically reduced – by 99%. Instead of 1 gold for the first redistribution of talent points, it will now only cost 1 silver. However, Blizzard emphasizes that this change is only for testing purposes in the Beta. In the live version, respec will return to its original price.
