However, with a hidden function, you can display the effects of each individual node. To see what effects a node has, you need to hover your mouse over the skill or select it with the controller. Then, either hold down Shift or press the right stick to open the hidden window.

How well-known is the function? In the Path of Exile 2 community, hardly any player seems to know this function, even though it is so useful. Knowing which node affects your values could have saved some players a lot of money.
On Reddit, for example, Xanthon writes: “Damn. If I had known this, I wouldn’t have wasted 2 Divs [Note from the editor: currency item in Poe2]. […]” He further explains that he boosted a skill, but his character’s damage only increased by 200 points, although he had hoped for much more.
This trick can indeed save money. Especially when it comes to trying out a new build or reconstructing your character after a patch due to a nerf, it can be useful to know in advance which stats actually change. This way, you can avoid unnecessary purchases that might not work as expected due to weak passive effects.
Evoken00 also complains on Reddit that he didn’t have this information earlier: “Hm… That would have been useful a few hundred hours ago.” The user GH057807 is a pro and has played for “500 hours,” but he also did not know the function according to Reddit.
In the comments, however, there are also some users who say that some numbers displayed there sound unrealistic or look wrong to them. However, we could not confirm this in our test.
