The Pirate Adventure Windrose launched in Early Access on April 24, 2026. Players are wondering what new features they can expect in the future. But is there a roadmap for that?
What’s coming in the future? Currently, there is no official roadmap for Windrose. However, there are some rough guidelines for Early Access that the developers aim to achieve (see Steam):
- Duration: approximately 1.5 to 2.5 years
- Version 1.0 should have 50% more content at full release than the current version
- More biomes, bosses, enemies, ships, and weapons, for example
- Completed story should span 50 – 70 hours of gameplay
- Various gameplay systems are to be tested and possibly added
- Official mod support will be added at some point
- There may be PvP
Whether there will be a console version is currently unclear. The developers want to focus mainly on a polished PC version for Early Access.
Why is there no fixed roadmap for this? The developers currently do not want to commit to any order or fixed timeline, as they want to primarily work along with the community. The FAQ states:
“While we already have a rough plan for future biomes, bosses, and storylines, player feedback will be crucial in determining which content and aspects of the game we need to focus on. We are committed to listening attentively and working hard to make this journey exciting for everyone.“
It’s up to you to get in touch with the developers via Discord, Steam, and the internal reporting tool to share your opinions. Maybe you’ll get your desired changes prioritized if more players share your views.
