2018 has seen a number of interesting MMORPGs released. But what has become of them so far? How have they evolved and how successful are they?
We presented you some MMORPGs at the end of 2018 that were released last year. Now let’s take a look at how the titles have fared since their launch.

What is Bless? Bless was supposed to be the next big themepark MMORPG. A classic online role-playing game focusing on quests, story, and group play, but also with PvP elements.
How is the MMORPG doing? Bless was only able to attract players briefly at the Early Access start in June 2018. Too many technical issues plagued the MMORPG. Players left in droves. Today, Bless has an average of 526 concurrent players according to Steamcharts.
What has changed in the game? In October, Bless exited Early Access and officially launched with some changes and more content. In the meantime, further updates have been released that raised the level cap, introduced new zones, and brought along the Urdaata battle fortress.
What is coming next? Further updates are planned for 2019. The developers will soon announce what content these will bring. There are supposed to be new dungeons, a new threat, and the Mystic as an additional class.

What is Closers? In the anime MMO Closers, you belong to an elite unit that is supposed to stop an invasion of aliens with special powers. Story and teamwork are paramount.
How is the MMORPG doing? Looking at Steamcharts, you can see that Closers has never been a major success. From around 1,000 concurrent players at launch in early 2018, only about 317 remain now. The game still has its own client, making statements difficult.
What has changed in the game? Since release, the Fatigue system that restricted the number of adventures players could experience per day has been removed. Additionally, Wolfgang a new hero and the online game is now playable in German was introduced.
What is coming next? Season 3 has started and will continue until mid-year. A new hero named Bai is planned, the level cap will be raised, and according to reports, PvP battles will be introduced with the Divine Battle system. All of this is expected to arrive by June. As for what follows, the developers still need to communicate.
