What is Shroud of the Avatar? Shroud of the Avatar was meant to be a sort of “all-in-one solution”. An MMORPG with quests and a sandbox that should also work as a single-player or co-op game. The Ultima series, including the MMORPG Ultima Online, was a major inspiration.
How is the MMORPG doing? Half of the development team has since been laid off, studio founder Richard Garriott is no longer the CEO, publisher Travian dissolved the partnership, and the team has lost the office and is now working from home. Despite the shift to free-to-play last October, only about 133 players are currently playing according to Steamcharts, with a downward trend.
What has changed in the game? Updates are released every month to fix bugs, optimize the game, and integrate new content. It was introduced that players can no longer play solo in certain areas and can now even build their own dungeons.
What is coming next? Although the developers now have no office anymore, further updates are expected to be released monthly. In addition, Episode 2 is planned for the end of the year, featuring a new story and a new landmass.

What is Soulworker? You are a hero chosen by the gods to stop an extraterrestrial threat. You team up with other players and fight your enemies in story-driven quests using your special abilities.
How is the MMORPG doing? Soulworker started strong with over 5,000 concurrent players according to Steamcharts. However, only about 900 are now active in the game. The balancing and loot boxes are particularly criticized.
What has changed in the game? In addition to bug fixes and balancing adjustments, the MMORPG received new dungeons, a new city with additional quests and NPCs, an increase in the level cap, and consistently new items.
What is coming next? There is no roadmap for Soulworker. However, it can be assumed that future updates will include more content such as new quests and dungeons, items, and perhaps new heroes.
