What is our new YouTube video about? In our new video on the MeinMMO YouTube channel we reveal what MeinMMO author Cedric Holmeier experienced on the Chinese servers of Honor of Kings: World. Only an MMO Lite, but a lot of potential
What topics does the video address? Honor of Kings: World is not a traditional MMORPG like World of Warcraft, but rather a massive open-world action RPG with optional multiplayer, an unusual combat system, and a surprisingly strong game world.
The MMO-lite approach is reminiscent of Where Winds Meet, with a hint of Sims and Farmville. It sounds wild, but it’s already surprisingly fun on the Chinese servers. In the video, we discuss what we particularly like and where we perceive weaknesses. We also reveal what is known about the payment model and endgame.
In previous videos, we addressed the bitter truth about starting WoW in 2026 and 12 free MMORPGs that are really fun right now. Be sure to check out our MeinMMO YouTube channel for more videos about the best genre in the world, and feel free to subscribe so you won’t miss any future videos!
More about Honor of Kings: World: The release in the West might still happen in 2026. After all, the game is already finished, and the developers are currently working on localization and minor adjustments for the Western market. One thing is for sure: We will keep an eye on this new MMO from Asia. You can find all past and upcoming news, specials, and videos about the game on our Honor of Kings: World topic page.
