The tiger warriors are here! At least almost. Because in just a few days, the realm of Cathay will receive reinforcements from Ind, the homeland of the tiger warriors, in Total War: Warhammer 3. They are led by a white tiger, and the developers have already shown 90 minutes of gameplay featuring her.
What kind of DLC is this? The character pack “Bhashiva” is the first mini-DLC for Total War: Warhammer 3. In this format, developer Creative Assembly aims to not only deliver new content more quickly but also integrate popular characters into the game that may not fit into one of the larger DLCs – which are still planned to come.
Accordingly, you should expect less content in these character packs, but they are also cheaper. The tiger warriors can be had for just €4.99. You can add the DLC to your wishlist on Steam, but you can only buy it upon release.
Speaking of release, the date has now been set. In a new trailer, the developers announced that the tiger people will arrive on May 21, 2026 – right in time for this year’s Warhammer Skulls Showcase. At this event, Games Workshop presents a variety of video games set in the Warhammer universes each year.

Mercenaries from a mysterious continent
Who are the tiger warriors? They come from a part of the world that you cannot explore on the map of Total War: Warhammer 3 without mods. Their homeland is the mysterious continent of Ind – which part of our world it is based upon should already be clear from the name.
The tiger warriors you see in Total War: Warhammer 3 are mercenaries in the army of Shang Yang, the faction of the iron dragon Zhao Ming. They are thus part of Cathay and not an entirely new faction. They have access to the complete unit list of Cathay, and conversely, other Cathay factions can recruit tiger warriors.
The namesake of the DLC is Bhashiva, the white tiger – a position of enormous importance. Every time the forces of chaos bring forth an eternal chosen one (that is, a champion favored by all four major chaos gods), a white tiger steps in to stop him. In Total War: Warhammer 3, she thus serves as the adversary to Archaon, the current eternal chosen one.
How do the tiger warriors play? The developers are showing more about this, not only in the roughly two-minute trailer but also in a nearly 90-minute livestream. If you couldn’t catch it live, you can watch the recording on YouTube.
Bhashiva’s faction does not have access to the compass mechanics of the dragons. Instead, she collects relics to increase the power of her tribe. As a subordinate of the iron dragon, she can also rise in his favor by waging war against his enemies.
On the battlefield, the tiger warriors follow the example of their real-world relatives. They are hunters who prefer to attack from ambush. The new units of the DLC are:
- Bhashiva the white tiger: Legendary commander, stealthy with the ability to teleport
- Tiger warrior sawai: Commander, equipped with a polearm that grants him a bonus against large enemies
- Claw speaker: Hero, wizard with access to the lores of beasts, life, and shadows
- Three units of tiger warriors: One with dual axes, one with throwing discs, and one more heavily armored with a guandao, a polearm
