Digital Extremes provided new details about the next Warframe on May 29, which will expand the roster of the SciFi MMO in June. In addition to showcasing the abilities, there was also a short animated trailer – and it looks impressive.
This is the new Warframe: The new “class” of Warframe is called Sirius & Orion and represents two brothers, introduced as children of the Stalker, who fight together – and are playable in just under 2 weeks when the brothers are released as part of the free update “Jade Shadows: Constellations” on June 17.
To generate some excitement in the community with the duo’s introduction, the developers released an animated trailer for the brothers, created in collaboration with the animation studio “THE LINE” and the metal band “ERRA”:

What distinguishes Sirius and Orion? The brothers are played as a duo. When you start a mission with this Warframe, you choose at the beginning whether you want to play as Sirius or Orion. The other brother serves as a companion and fights your enemies. However, the unique feature of this Warframe is that you can switch to the other brother on the battlefield at any time. It’s important to know:
- Both brothers have different abilities but share a common ultimate.
- In battle, they use their signature weapon, a scythe called “Pride & Wrath.”
- “Pride & Wrath” is technically the same weapon for both brothers, but has different combat properties depending on whether you play as Sirius (Pride) or Orion (Wrath).
While Sirius has supportive abilities like buffs and healing and throws the scythe to ignite opponents and collect items along the way, Orion focuses on pure attack with quick strikes using the scythe, removes armor from enemies, and creates a black hole that draws in opponents.
During their shared ultimate, Orion and Sirius simultaneously ascend into the air and engage in a type of exchange where they continuously collide with each other, dealing damage to everything in their path. If you skillfully switch between the brothers during this, you also increase the damage of the subsequent collisions.
This is what MeinMMO editor Dariusz says: The headline of the article may have hinted it, but I truly find the animated trailer overly cool. While the developer stream provides a much better understanding of the abilities Sirius and Orion bring, the trailer genuinely excites me for an animated film or a short series about the brothers.
The abilities of the duo sound very interesting, especially since it is possible to actively switch between the brothers. In one moment, you can throw your scythe at enemies as Sirius, and in the next, create a black hole with Orion and slash the drawn-in enemies with melee attacks. The developers also showed that you can combine abilities and pull the black hole from Orion towards you as Sirius using the scythe.
