Wardogs is starting in Early Access, but the first players have to sit in queues. Here you can find out how the servers are doing.
In Wardogs, the first players can start since 6:00 PM. We’ll keep you updated here with a live ticker about the current status of the servers, queues, and error messages!
Wardogs Launch: Server Status and Queues Live Ticker
Thursday, September 10, 2026
8:05 PM
Dariusz has managed to join the game, but receives an error message when attempting to join a server in the server browser:

8:00 PM
Meanwhile, Wardogs is being flooded with negative reviews on Steam. Of the over 5,000 reviews, only 39% are currently positive, mainly due to the extremely long queues and wrongly distributed permabans.
7:55 PM
On Reddit, several players report being banned immediately after the game started. The developers are aware of the issue and explain on Discord that a small group of players is erroneously banned when joining the server. The cause is a bug with the FirstLook link, which mainly affects participants of the first tests. An appropriate fix should be released shortly.
7:50 PM
It seems that things are starting to happen. On Twitch, you can no longer see just queues in the Wardogs category in the thumbnails.
And in the Wardogs Discord, the team writes: “We can see that more players are slowly joining the matches – thank you for your patience! The number of players on the servers is increasing as the queue is gradually being processed.”
Are you finally able to get into the game?
7:45 PM
We’re in! At least Dariusz reports that he has indeed made it into the game.
7:39 PM
I would prefer to write something positive, but that doesn’t seem to be the case for now. After my colleague has already reached position 15,000, he received another error message. This seems to be the current loop we are stuck in. At least the new queue after each restart is getting a little shorter – currently at 180,000. And how about you?
7:33 PM
We are still stuck in queues. Dariusz had hopes earlier that things were progressing, but then he was thrown out by an error message and a crash, only to start again at position 284,000.
Meanwhile, the viewer numbers on Twitch are also continuously rising. There are now over 330,000 people watching how others play Wardogs… or rather hanging in queues.
7:25 PM
After the long queue, players sadly do not get a start into the game, but an error message appears. It says: “Authentication with the online services has failed.”
A small ray of hope: After that, the queue is reportedly going significantly faster according to our colleague Dariusz. He slid directly to 217,000.
And the developers are also aware and are addressing the issue. On the official Discord, it says: “We will clear this queue. All who are currently in the queue to log into the game will be kicked. Thank you for your patience @everyone. This should help improve the situation. We will keep you as updated as possible.”
7:20 PM
Those who haven’t yet picked up Twitch drops for Wardogs can still do so until September 14. To do this, simply choose a streamer who is streaming in the Wardogs category on Twitch and watch for 30 minutes for the first drop. For the second drop, you must purchase a subscription to one of the channels.

On Twitch, by the way, more than 326,000 people are currently watching streamers in the Wardogs category.
7:10 PM
I wish you a good evening (Nicole)! I would also wish you a lot of fun gaming, but it seems it will take some time until that’s possible. As the comments in our live ticker show, some of you are still stuck in long queues – selghammer even at position 347,000.
We will keep an eye on things and provide you with updates in the meantime.
6:59 PM
Dariusz has now reached position 118,000. I’m handing over the ticker now to my dear colleague Nicole because I urgently need something to eat; she will keep you updated!
6:56 PM
Which age group do you belong to? On Reddit, there is a heated discussion about who Wardogs is actually for:
6:52 PM
On Twitch, some are reporting queue placements around 348,000… who offers more?
6:49 PM
On X.com, the developers share:
“Currently, players are gradually pouring onto the servers as we incrementally expand capacity.
However, thousands are still standing in the registration queue.
Currently, access restrictions are in place, and we are working directly with Valve to resolve this issue and adapt our access restrictions to those of larger titles.”
6:46 PM
To bridge the time, here’s an anecdote from Dariusz on the sidelines:
“There are already cheaters again. I’m in a Twitch stream waiting, and just got the in-game message that a player was banned from the server for cheating.”
6:43 PM
Meanwhile, Dariusz, our highest in line has reached nearly 128,000. It seems to be getting faster.
On Reddit, people continue to report error messages. Someone also shares their “high score” waiting position at 270,345.
6:39 PM
The numbers in the queue are sluggish and only decrease in small increments. Dariusz is currently at about 142,000.
The player numbers on Steam continue to rise and are now at 257,477 concurrent players. Will we reach 300,000?
6:33 PM
It’s slowly progressing. Colleague and shooter enthusiast Dariusz has at least secured position 147,995.
If you receive an error indicating that your account is restricted, it is a known issue and probably related to FirstLook. However, it seems to have been resolved for some of the early colleagues.
6:28 PM
On Discord, a message from the developers has now come:
“Currently, thousands of players are in the registration queue, gradually getting into the game and onto the servers as they increase their capacity.
However, some players are being pushed to the end of the queue – we sincerely apologize for that. The response is much, much larger than during the beta.
Please be patient while we address these issues. We will do everything we can to get everyone into the game as quickly as possible.”
6:26 PM
We are still plagued by error messages and a queue of death. We are now in position 165,925. And how about you?

6:22 PM
The player numbers alone on Steam are skyrocketing, currently at almost 200,000 players.

6:16 PM
The servers should be open, but many – including us – are not only stuck in queues but also receiving error messages. Currently, it seems that the servers are still experiencing issues.
