The MMORPG Lost Ark is incredibly successful on Steam. Already during the release weekend, the MMORPG reached 2nd place among Steam games with the most concurrent users of all time. Some have criticized for months that Lost Ark is coming “too late” to the West. There is also the notion that MMORPGs are out and a genre of the past. Many players in the West generally have a negative attitude towards Asia MMOs: The games are considered grindy, quirky, and too focused on Pay2Win.
But Lost Ark has disproven all these theses and prejudices with its enormous success.
