Today the first trailer for the new Transformers movie: Transformers One was released. It is an animated film. The community is reacting with mixed feelings.
Today, on April 18, 2024, the first trailer for Transformers One was released, marking the eighth film in the well-known sci-fi action series.
After the last live-action movie Transformers: Rise of the Beasts was released in June 2023, this year an animated film about the giant robots is coming. The community is still not quite sure if this is a good thing.

How is the community reacting? Mixed. The opinions on the English and German trailers on YouTube are somewhat divided.
Several users find the animation style “awkward,” while others are very excited and optimistic about the trailer for Transformers One for that very reason. Some are just glad to have a Transformers movie without any humans.

What will the new film be about? Transformers One is a prequel that focuses on the two Transformers Orion Pax aka Optimus Prime and D-16 aka Megatron and their shared past.
They were once best friends who stood up for each other on their home planet Cybertron. But then a conflict arises with the leader Sentinel Prime. The friends become enemies, and the fate of the Transformers is at stake.
Who is involved in the film? The director is Josh Cooley, who was also responsible for Toy Story 4. The producers include Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Michael Bay, and Steven Spielberg, who are creating the film in co-production with Hasbro.
In the English version, Thor star Chris Hemsworth and Brian Tyree Henry (Bullet Train) voice the two main roles as Optimus Prime and D-16/Megatron. Additionally, Keegan-Michael Key, Scarlett Johansson, and Jon Hamm can be heard.
When does Transformers One premiere? You can watch the new Transformers film later this year. It will be released in German cinemas on October 10, 2024.
