To complete raids in Pokémon GO, you need to have the necessary items. A trainer has discovered how to save a bit here.
For some time now, there has been the opportunity to participate in Super Mega Raids in Pokémon GO. As part of these special raids, link charges have also been introduced into the game. With these, you can participate in Mega Raids on-site and also from a distance if you additionally have a remote raid pass.
Both items cost quite a bit of PokéCoins, which are already scarce. A trainer has now found a way to save some coins here.
Going into the raid unprepared means saving coins
What has the trainer discovered? If you are in a raid lobby and you lack the necessary remote raid pass and link charges, you cannot join the raid. Instead, a window will appear where you can directly purchase both items.
As the trainer reported on Reddit, the costs for the items in this window are slightly cheaper than if you buy them regularly in the in-game shop.
If you buy the packages with 600 link charges and 3 remote raid passes, you will pay a total of 775 PokéCoins in the in-game shop. If you purchase the items in the raid lobby screen, you can get them here for 750 coins. So you save 25 PokéCoins compared to regular pricing.
Since you can only normally receive 50 PokéCoins per day for free through arenas in the game, you can thus save about half a day of free coins.
Why this is the case and whether Scopely is aware of it is unknown. It is also difficult to say whether the small discount will remain available in the game permanently or if it will be removed in the future.
