Aniimo shows gameplay of the game in a round seven-minute trailer. In it, MeinMMO editor Jasmin noticed a ball that would be essential for other monster-collecting games.
A few weeks ago, I ventured with friends onto a new server of Palworld, where we started from scratch again. To level up as quickly as possible, I always catch 12 specimens of a certain monster that gives a huge bonus to XP.
This turns into a routine, as each Pal must be weakened before I can catch it. I feel like I’m in a mass processing factory when I have to catch 12 specimens of each Pal in the initial area.
On the side, several specimens of a species can be compared, allowing the strongest monster for one’s team, which has the best stats, to be chosen. In Aniimo, there will be a special ball that helps immensely in such cases.
Aniimo receives a special ball that would be practical for other monster-collecting games
So far, it is standard that a monster can be caught with a ball. In Pokémon, for example, there is the idea that the Pokémon have a nice time and can rest inside their Pokéballs.
In the new trailer of Aniimo, a type of cloud is shown as a ball, with which one can roll over several monsters. Once the opponents have been stunned, one can throw this gigantic ball to catch all the monsters that are on the rolling path.
An indicator pops up on the right showing how many monsters have been caught with this one ball. After a short sequence, all the monsters that are in the ball and ultimately in one’s possession appear on the left.
Such a ball would have made my work in Palworld much easier, as I would only have to stun the monsters with an area attack and then throw the ball. This would have saved me a lot of time.
I also think such a ball would be quite practical for Pokémon and other monster-collecting games. If it were simply rolled around on a grass field or lake, one could catch several monsters at once, compare their stats, and choose the best for the team or breeding.
Are there balls for catching that you wish for a monster-collecting game? Feel free to write in the comments what your current favorites are.
A few months ago, I was allowed to play Aniimo in advance and was particularly impressed by the game world. Why the monsters in the wild impressed me so much, you can read in the following article: Aniimo in Closed Beta played: Yes, the Pokémon-like looks as good as in the trailers, but the stars are the monsters
