The developers of Europa Universalis V have released their new patch on Steam and have changed an incredible amount.
What kind of game is this? Paradox Interactive is a well-known developer of the type of strategy games that you still cannot fully understand even after 1,000 hours. For the latest title, Europa Universalis V, the developers have now released patch 1.2 and it has a lot to offer.
Here you can watch a trailer for Europa Universalis V:
Over 2,000 bugs fixed
What does the patch bring? The developers at Paradox Interactive have not only fixed over 2,000 bugs with the new patch, but they have made so many changes that you can read them in 72 pages. By comparison, the developers state that the patch notes would be 21 meters long when printed on A4 sheets.
New for players are especially the Balkan regions with “over 300 new achievements, about 150 new dynamic historical events, and extensive new content for Greece and the Balkans, some new formable nations, reforms, and privileges.”
The economy also received a major update just like Orthodoxy, and for those who found diplomacy and politics not deep enough, they can now weave even more intrigues.
Because the update also brings new modding tools, the developers created a video showing you the most important new features:
How is the patch being received? The new patch is not being well received by players. On Steam the ratings have dropped to an average of only 38% positive reviews since the update. This is mostly due, according to reviews, to the performance issues that have arisen since the update.
Also, alongside the 2,000 fixed bugs, new ones apparently have come with the update that are said to make the game partially unplayable. Therefore, the major bug fix likely needs another bug fix.
Before players can enjoy the new major update for Europa Universalis V, the developers need to patch again and eliminate bugs and performance issues.
