He felt a deep sadness while playing, but in a good, melancholic way.

The Division 2 is the more modern game, but The Division 1 will always have a special place in his heart: It was beautiful and dark.

Another reddit user is also using superlatives: The Division 1 has the best game world he has ever experienced.

Others highlight the gameplay advantages of The Division 1 over 2: The PVP in the Dark Zone was better – the echoes and recordings were stronger.

In the “real year 2016,” there was a lot of criticism of The Division 1. There were bugs, exploits, balance issues, all sorts of problems. For months, there was only frustration and bickering. It was a completely different world than the “imagined year 2016” that some are now remembering.

But the campaign of The Division 1 was atmospherically incredibly strong and the game world was lovingly and in detail designed, with many little stories.

These perks were apparently amplified by the real experience of a pandemic now in hindsight, while these elements struck too close to home a few years ago, when the pandemic raged in real life.

As an MMO fan and lover of atmosphere, one can only hope that The Division will return once more. The story is not yet fully told and a lot of potential has been left untapped. Please make The Division 3 with the atmosphere of The Division 1 and clearer loot and item systems.
