When will there be new content for Path of Exile 2? In an announcement on PathofExile.com, the developers have announced that they are still working on the new update 0.2.0. According to their statement, the update is expected to be released in about a month, so likely at the end of March 2025.
In the past, they have already confirmed that update 0.2.0 will be a big one, with many new features and significant changes (via PathofExile.com). There may even be new classes, as the developers are now hinting.

New Season and New Classes
Will new classes be available during Early Access? Yes, the developers have confirmed in their new post that new classes will be added during Early Access. Their announcement (via PathofExile.com) is actually about a speedrun tournament for PoE2, but in a side note about the tournament rewards, the developers confirm this. They write: “Future events will include other classes as soon as they are added to Early Access.”
New classes for Path of Exile 2 will be added during Early Access on Steam and consoles. While this news should actually please all players, the community is predominantly expressing critical voices.
What do the critics say? The community is very concerned about the release timeline of Path of Exile 2. For them, update 0.2.0 along with the new season comes too late, and now hearing that they are still working on it sets alarm bells ringing for gamers.
Originally, Early Access was only supposed to last 6-12 months and Path of Exile 2 was to be released as a full version by the end of the year at the latest. Players are critically viewing this:
