Those who love collecting monsters will soon be able to jump into a new game from the creators of Genshin Impact in a big way. There is a test phase available for a preview.
What kind of game is this? In Honkai Nexus Anima, players can collect various creatures and battle against each other. However, there are no turn-based battles like in Pokémon, but real-time battles on a small battlefield viewed from a top-down perspective.
In the battles, you also have cards available at the bottom of the screen that have a casting time. Once this time has elapsed, you can, for example, deal area damage on the battlefield.
You can see what this looks like in the following video:
To enhance your monsters for battle, it is possible to evolve them using certain items. There are even supposed to be rare chromatic anima. Additionally, there is an open world where you can cruise around, sometimes on your own monster.
Since this is a game from miHoYo and HoYoverse, there will be some form of gacha mechanics where you need to spend real money to progress faster in the game. How exactly they will appear is still unclear.
How to participate in the open test
How can I participate on the day? If your curiosity has been piqued, you can sign up for the early test on the official page of Honkai: Nexus Anima. You need to answer a survey to be considered for the test. However, not every survey participant will be automatically allowed to participate in the test phase.
You need to keep an eye on your email inbox starting from July 9, 2026. Because on that day, the free test phase begins on PC, iOS, and Android. A date for its end has not yet been announced.
What do you think about the new game from the creators of Genshin Impact? Will you check it out, or will you prefer to enjoy another monster-collecting game?
Meanwhile, the team is working on another game that is supposed to look much more realistic than the previous titles of the developer.
