With the new Flashpoint update in ARC Raiders, the extraction shooter receives some new features, including two new weapons and another ARC enemy. However, the community is more excited about something else that they are particularly pleased about: Finally, crafting is set to become easier.
How does the update make crafting easier? With the Flashpoint update, amidst many other revisions and news, an improved crafting system is introduced. Embark Studios writes:
We know that assembling the perfect loadout takes time – especially when you’d rather be raiding. That’s why we’re introducing some practical improvements to the crafting system, allowing you to simplify your time in Speranza significantly.

This simplification now works in a menu window: Missing materials needed to craft weapons and items can be directly obtained through a new view. Additionally, materials can be recycled, refined, or purchased again in the same window if needed for crafting. This significantly reduces the time spent switching between crafting, inventory, and visiting merchants in Speranza.
“I was happy about THIS”
What does the community say about this overhaul? The revision of the crafting system has caused excitement among many players on Reddit, but also relief. The joy over this feature shows how eagerly new content is anticipated, but the improvement of existing systems is even better received. So-called “Quality of Life” updates not only simplify cumbersome paths in games but also demonstrate that Embark is not only listening to player feedback but wants to implement it.
“New weapons? A new ARC? New map conditions? No. I was happy about THIS,” wrote Silenceisgrey regarding the revamped crafting system.
Also Signalis3 feels: “As a new player, I’m glad they are focusing on this. I find the user interface to be a complete chaos, and the parts of the game outside of the raids are extremely tedious. I didn’t expect them to still be making changes after so many months since the launch of the game, but I’m glad I was wrong about that.”
What else did the players wish for? Even though the simplified crafting and the rest of the update are well received, players still wished for one more small feature that would have perfectly rounded off this innovation.
The community on Reddit still wishes for the ability to not only create their loadouts faster but to be able to save them. Another QOL update that would save players a lot of time in Speranza to get back to raiding quicker.
“I really wish they had added a feature to save the loadouts, then it would have been ideal,” writes watermouse. A kind of template for a preferred loadout that would automatically be filled from the inventory, rather than having to do it manually.
While this may seem like a minor necessity, it can become so tedious that some players find it too annoying, as Light_Shrugger noted: “Last night I was finally at the point where I no longer wanted to rebuild my loadout again. Instead, I simply quit the game.”
The crafting in ARC Raiders is a major feature of the game, which is essential alongside the fight against enemy players and dangerous ARCs. This crafting and especially the looting to find enough materials reminds MeinMMO editor Caro of one of her favorite childhood games, which is why she fell in love with the extraction shooter: For 13 years, no game has given me a feeling like ARC Raiders, even though I play in the “most boring” way
