Queen Azshara, the Light of Lights
To fully prepare for a world of perfection, everything imperfect must be wiped away.

Queen Azshara was the ruler of the Night Elves in Azeroth when the known world was still a single continent and the empire of the Night Elves essentially spanned the entire world.
Azshara is the most powerful mage that has ever existed on Azeroth and was so many thousands of years ago. She was loved and revered by her people. Her beauty and glory were said to be so breathtaking that it brought all beings to their knees in awe – and some Night Elves still worship her today with songs(Link to Suno) – at least in RP.
She received many titles from her people, such as “Light of Lights”, “Daughter of the Moon”, “Vision of Perfection”, or “Flower of Life”.
Even demons had to acknowledge Azshara’s power – it went so far that no demon could attack Azshara and even high leaders of the Burning Legion believed that only the fallen Titan Sargeras could be on par with Queen Azshara.
Azshara herself saw Sargeras as a perfect consort to rule the world at his side – after it had been cleansed of “disturbing” influences.
After the invasion of the Legion was thwarted, the world shattered and Queen Azshara’s palace sank into the sea. There, the Old God N’Zoth took notice of Azshara and sought to recruit her as a servant. However, Azshara refused and only accepted a pact as an equal partner, after which she and her former Highborne were transformed into Naga.
Even as Naga, Azshara continues to be regarded as the most powerful mage Azeroth has ever seen. Since she still wants to assert her claim to power, it is only a matter of time before we see the Queen of the Naga return to take her rightful place and rule over all elven races – regardless of whether those races have other ideas.
Currently, Azshara is considered lost, even though the Naga are searching for her and there is a prophecy that speaks of the “Return of the Queen”. Everything suggests that the most powerful mage of all time will return once again to enforce her claim to power in Azeroth. No wonder that Azshara is also considered one of the strongest women of WoW.
