In Game of Thrones, there were really many terrible deaths. But hardly any was as tragic as that of Shireen. A small and innocent girl, who was burned alive by her own parents. This puts Stannis and Selyse Baratheon definitely at the top of the list of the worst parents in all of Westeros.
The whole scene just sends a shiver down your spine. The heartbreaking way Shireen cries out for her parents. And the cold way Stannis observes the whole thing. Even her mother lets it happen for a long time, only trying to intervene half-heartedly at the very end. Along with Melisandre, who quotes her religious platitudes, and all the soldiers watching, looking bewildered and visibly disturbed.
A truly terrible spectacle and thus number 4 on this list.
