I made my “push” even before I reached an item level of 280. Most of the time I played my own stones and just downgraded them to farm emblems for item level.
The majority of the learning process and ascent took place in the 260 area while I spammed 10 keys. Once I felt I had the routes down, I did a “World Tour”: completing all 12s with a high 260 item level and finishing in the 270 area. After that week, I could finally break the 280 mark today.
