The new Sea of Thieves update 1.0.5 repositions the ammo crates. Additionally, new items such as weapons and clothing will soon appear.
On April 24, the servers of Sea of Thieves will be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance. During this time, the developers will implement the new patch, which changes a few things in Sea of Thieves. The ammo crate should now be easier to reach on both ships and the musical instruments no longer have repetitions.
Sea of Thieves Patch 1.0.5 – What changes?
The new update with the version number 1.0.5 will be available today for Sea of Thieves players. On Xbox One, the patch is 1.36GB, on PC 1.25GB.
Updates:
- The ammo crates have been repositioned to make them easier for players to access
- In a previous patch, players on the ferry of the damned were shown how to sink their ship. This message has been adjusted.
- Players can no longer play the same song twice in a row with the instruments
- UI improvements ensure that the images in the clothing crates now load better.
These are the quality of life improvements in the new update that should make life (and dying) in Sea of Thieves easier for you.
Additionally, known bugs have been fixed. Skeleton forts or bounty skeletons now spawn as intended. Furthermore, players are no longer incorrectly restricted to a single weapon. Oh, and very importantly: Ships now no longer just fly into the air when they sink. Like this:

In addition to the many bug fixes mentioned in the patch notes, there was also a taste of new content. The developers write, “Rumors are that a new shipment of clothing, items, weapons, and ship customizations have appeared on the horizon and are on the way to Sea of Thieves.”
So if you’re saving up for new clothing or weapons, it’s worth waiting for the new items. After all, there could be something nice that you’ll want to buy.
