Schedule 1 is the new hit on Steam, where players can build their drug empire like Walter White from Breaking Bad and rake in a lot of cash. We provide you with all the important information regarding the release, possible updates, and the roadmap fitting to the game.
What is Schedule 1? In Schedule 1, you can create your own character and then embark on your journey as an aspiring drug dealer. The goal is to build a drug empire, expand the production process, delegate employees, and make a lot of money.
Although Schedule 1 is not known for its stunning graphics, the game managed to gain popularity rapidly at the start of its Early Access and enjoys a large player base (via SteamDB). Besides solo play, you can also wreak havoc in the city in co-op with your friends and rise against the law. Currently, the game is in Early Access in a kind of beta.
All about platforms, release, updates, and roadmap
When is the full release? This cannot be precisely determined yet. According to the official Steam page of the game (via store.steampowered.com), the lead and only developer of Schedule 1 states that his game will remain in Early Access for up to 2 years.
Which platforms are supported? Schedule 1 is currently only available on Steam. A console release for Xbox and PS5 or Nintendo Switch seems rather unlikely at the moment. However, the idea has not been ruled out by the developer yet.
How much does the game cost? Schedule 1 currently costs €19.50 on Steam. However, the price is expected to increase by 25–50% once the game celebrates its full release.
Are there regular updates? Yes, there are supposed to be. Just recently, a new update was released on April 7th that aims to fix some issues and bring many new features (via store.steampowered.com). Further updates are expected in the future, but note that the developer TVGS is a single person. The extent of support and updating the game may therefore take longer.
Is there a roadmap? Not directly, there is rather a Trello – a board where the developer of Schedule 1 collects all major and minor ideas that he then gradually implements into the game. This includes new types of drugs and fights with the cartel as well as small things like new weather conditions.
