In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, there are codes that allow you to secure free items through Mystery Gifts. Everything you need to know can be found here.
What Mystery Gifts are currently available? Through Mystery Gifts, you can grab various items and Pokémon for free on different occasions. Some require codes, while others can simply be secured via an internet connection.
The following Mystery Gifts are currently available:
- NEW! PREPAR1NG
- Max Revive x5, Full Restore x10, Ultra Balls x10
- Valid until March 31, 2027
- No Code: Project M, Mewtunit X, Mewtunit Y
- Completion of the main campaign required
- No Code: Diancite Stone with Extra Mission
- By receiving a Mystery Gift, you will obtain the Diancite Stone and the extra mission “Shine Bright like a Gemstone.” With this stone, you can also enable Diancite to Mega Evolve.
Please note that you need an existing internet connection for the gifts and that they can only be redeemed once. You will receive the individual codes via email after your purchase.

Enter Codes – How to Obtain Mystery Gifts
When can you start obtaining Mystery Gifts? You unlock the feature after you first speak with Magnolia in the third main quest. This takes about an hour of gameplay, provided you don’t stray off the path.
How do you redeem codes? Open the menu using the X button. Then go to the “Multiplayer/Online” section and find the “Mystery Gift” field there.
There, you will have the choice between the following options:
- Receive via Internet
- Receive via Serial Code/Password
- Check Mystery Gifts
If you have a code you want to enter, you need to choose the second option and simply enter and confirm the code. You will find your Mystery Gift under the last point in the previous view.
Attention: You need an existing internet connection for this. However, a subscription is not necessary – you only need a Nintendo Account.
For all these gifts, you do not need a subscription. If you act quickly after the release, you can also secure a special Mega Evolution. However, you will need a subscription for those; for many, it might be worth it: If you grind fast enough, you can obtain a limited-time Mega Evolution in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, but you will need a subscription for that
