In Pokémon Legends Z-A, you need to evolve certain creatures using the trade feature. Here you will find all the important codes, so you don’t have to search for friends to do it.
What are the codes for? X-user @AustinJohnPlays has shared a collection of various codes in his post, to which he has assigned specific Pokémon. You can then use these codes via the trade function to specifically exchange Pokémon that only evolve through trading.
This way, you can find players who want to trade the same creature without needing friends with whom to trade. You can learn what codes are available and how to use them here.

How to Use Trade Codes
How do the codes work? The codes are meant for as many players as possible in the community to learn about them and use them to help each other. To perform such a code trade, follow these steps:
- Select the appropriate code from the list and have the appropriate Pokémon ready
- Open your menu and follow the path: Multiplayer/Online → Link Trade → Distant Players → Link Code
- Then enter the trade code from the list and wait – unfortunately, this can take some time
- If a suitable trading partner is found who uses the same code, you can proceed with the trade
- Once you have traded, your desired Pokémon will evolve
Make sure that your trading partner actually offers the desired Pokémon and, if necessary, the right item for trading. Additionally, be careful not to accidentally trade your rare shinies.
The system relies on trust and on as many players as possible using these codes. It may happen that you can’t find anyone using the code at the same time for a while. Just try again later.
Especially when you’re on the hunt for shinies, it can take a long time to reach your desired goal. However, you can easily obtain a shiny Pokémon during a side quest. How and where you can find out here: In Pokémon Legends: Z-A you can easily get a rare shiny – you just need to complete a side quest
