In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, you have to evolve some creatures using the trading function. Here you will find all the important codes so that you don’t have to find friends to do it.
What are the codes for? X-User @AustinJohnPlays has shared a collection of various codes in his post, to which he has assigned certain Pokémon. You can then use these codes through the trading function to specifically trade Pokémon that can only evolve through trading.
This way, you can find players who want to trade the same creature without needing friends who will trade with you. You can find out which codes exist and how to use them here.

How to use trading codes
How do the codes work? The codes are there so that as many players as possible from the community can learn about them and use them to help each other. To perform a code trade, follow these steps:
- Select the appropriate code from the list and have the corresponding Pokémon ready
- Open your menu and follow this path: Multiplayer/Online → Link Trade → Distant Players → Link Code
- Then enter the trading code from the list and wait – it can unfortunately take a while
- If a suitable trading partner is found who uses the same code, you can proceed with the trade
- Once you have traded, your desired Pokémon will evolve
Make sure that your trading partner really offers the desired Pokémon and, if necessary, the correct item for trading. Additionally, be careful not to accidentally trade away your rare shinies.
The system relies on trust and that as many players as possible use these codes. So it can also happen that you might not find anyone using the code at the same time. Just try again later.
Especially when you’re on the hunt for shinies, it can take quite a while to reach your desired goal. However, you can easily catch a shiny Pokémon during a side quest. How and where, you can find out here: In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, you can easily get a rare shiny – you just have to complete a side quest
