For the great Hoenn Tour in Pokémon GO, you can again encounter spawns from various habitats over the weekend. We have summarized which ones there will be and which monsters you can expect when here on MeinMMO.
What event is it about? Today and tomorrow, on February 25th and 26th, 2023, the great Hoenn Tour, one of the highlights of the year in Pokémon GO, is taking place. During the event, you will encounter numerous monsters again, which are mostly divided into so-called habitats, a type of living space, and will spawn alternately in the wild.
We will show you below which habitats and spawns you can expect for the Hoenn Tour.
These are the Pokémon of the 4 habitats for the Hoenn Tour
What habitats will there be? There will be a total of 4 habitats for the Hoenn Tour, where you can encounter a total of 46 monsters:
- Glowing Sand
- Uncanny Fog
- Green Earth
- Historical Coast
All spawns in the habitats: A large part of the wild monsters for the Hoenn Tour will be distributed across the mentioned 4 habitats, which is why you can only encounter a part of the Pokémon at the same time in the game. Pokémon GO shares the following graphic on Twitter:
When will which habitat be active? During the first day of the event, the habitats will change hourly according to current information. Thus, you will have the chance to find the monsters of each habitat twice a day. You can meet the Pokémon of Generation 3 at the following times (via leekduck.com):

All of them can also be caught in their shiny forms with a bit of luck, some even for the first time. 14 monsters are celebrating their shiny debut at the Hoenn Tour.
Whether the habitats will repeat in the same way on Sunday, the second day of the event, remains to be seen for now. As soon as there are any updates on this, we will add them here in the article for you.
Are there other wild spawns for the event?
Special spawns from Ruby & Sapphire: In addition to the monsters from the habitats, you can also encounter other Pokémon in the wild. You have the option to choose between Team Ruby and Team Sapphire and earn Pokémon encounters that way.

Additional encounters: During the event, there will also be encounters with Icognito E, H, N, and O, as well as with costumed Pikachu when you set a smoke. However, the daily adventure smoke is excluded from this.
Based on experiences from previous years, it can be assumed that these will also be found in the wild throughout the entire event during the Hoenn Tour.
Additionally, you can find other interesting monsters from the Hoenn region in raids as well as in eggs.
