Tomorrow marks the start of the first part of the Halloween event 2024 in Pokémon GO. In addition to the debut of a brand new pocket monster, there are numerous features that trainers can look forward to.
What kind of event is this? In Pokémon GO, the Halloween event will be celebrated just like in previous years. The event is all about ghost Pokémon and comes with several events and new pocket monsters that thematically revolve around the spooky festival. There are:
- A new Pokémon with an exclusive attack
- A new Dynamax monster
- Pokémon with an increased shiny chance
- More exciting bonuses and content
When does the event start? The first part of the Halloween event starts on October 22, 2024, at 10:00 AM and ends on October 28, 2024, at 10:00 AM.
Part 1 of the Halloween Event with New Monsters for Pokémon GO
What new Pokémon are available? For the first time, trainers have the chance to catch a Morpeko. Each time it uses a charge attack, it can change its form during the battle. This is expected to create entirely new strategies, although initially, they will only work in battles against Team GO Rocket and in the GO Battle League.
Morpeko comes with an exclusive attack for 2 different forms:
- Aura Wheel (Electric) is the charge attack of Morpeko’s Pappershape and deals 100 damage of Electric type.
- Aura Wheel (Dark) is the charge attack of Morpeko’s Coalsmoke form and also deals 100 damage, but of Dark type.
You can encounter Morpeko as a reward for completed battle sets in the GO Battle League.
What about Dynamax battles? There’s also a debut here: For the first time, trainers can encounter Dynamax Gastly in Level 1 Dynamax battles. You can also encounter the following Pokémon:
- Level 1 Dynamax battles: Gastly, Grookey, Scorbunny, Sobble
- Level 3 Dynamax battles: Legios
Both Gastly and Legios can appear in a shiny variant.
