GTA 5 Online is a paradise for roleplaying, and now there are even techno raves taking place underground. This includes all the details that need to be considered at such an event.
Which party is it about? The site Roleplay UK has a special highlight for all GTA players who enjoy techno music.
The project “BOILER ROOM” is organized in-game by fans and coordinated by the host Liam Miller. In an interview with PC Gamer, he explained his approach, quickly making it clear how elaborate the endeavor was in GTA Online.
An Underground Party
What does Miller say? He himself is a big techno fan, and therefore it was a major concern for him to host such an event in the RP scene of GTA Online.
Initially, there was the question of where in Los Santos the party should take place. In the end, it became a room below the Vanilla Unicorn strip club, thus hidden away. For the host, the illegal side of the party was important: It was supposed to take place underground, away from the authorities, and therefore also provide space for forbidden activities.
Miller then spread cryptic messages through the in-game Tweedle app and put up posters to draw attention to the party. Everything was designed to be very mysterious and only aimed at invited, powerful guests on the server.
Subsequently, various organizational issues had to be clarified: Food, drinks, DJs, and staff needed to be arranged. Even a custom digital drug was developed specifically for the event, which further underscores the illegal nature of the gathering.
In the set-up club, a wild party could then be celebrated. Miller thanks everyone who helped make the project a reality: “The team exceeded my expectations by far.”
As the players were all quite enthusiastic, there are plans for more similar events in GTA Online. Miller wants to think even bigger: “With more people, that would be awesome – the first time we had 96 people, which was really great. But if it were even more crowded than before, with people dancing and socializing, that would be fantastic.”
And a similar event could also take place in GTA 6. Miller is already looking forward to the release. A similar sentiment applies to MeinMMO editor Caro, even though the game has to follow in the big footsteps of its predecessor: GTA 6 simply cannot offer the same experience as its predecessor because I no longer have to play it secretly
