What exactly did the user acquire? A gamer writes on reddit that he had purchased a complete gaming system including a desk and accessories. According to his own statement, he paid no more than 1,000 US dollars (about 930 euros) for it. He bought, among other things:
- A gaming PC with Ryzen 7 7700X, an RTX 4060 Ti, 32 GB RAM, and 2 TB SSD.
- A gaming desk, including a gaming chair.
- Two gaming monitors, each 24 inches and 165 Hz.
- A gaming headset and the popular Xbox Series X Elite Controller with accessories.
For less than 1,000 euros, that sounds like an excellent deal. The seller wrote in his statement that he is “interested in trades for outdoor items. Dirt bikes, all-terrain vehicles, fishing gear, hunting equipment, and much more.”
A comment that has received almost 2,000 upvotes jokes: “He became addicted to touching grass.” And another one adds: “He has discovered fresh air for himself.”

Where the meme originally comes from is not known, explains the website Knowyourmeme. However, it has become increasingly used since 2019 and has become especially popular on Twitter and 4chan.
The “exit” from gaming is repeatedly discussed. For instance, someone explains that an acquaintance of his has taken the same step and sold all his equipment, such as computer and console, and still does not regret it:

It is a somewhat extreme measure, but his weight became uncontrollable and although video games were an escape, he was still unhappy.
