In Path of Exile 2, the developers have announced a new reward for players. Those who watch on Twitch at the right time will receive an execution effect. We will tell you what you need to do for it.
What animation is it about? The developers of Path of Exile 2 have announced a new reward in the form of a Twitch drop. This time, all players have the opportunity to earn an execution effect. An execution effect is an animation that is played whenever you defeat a boss in Path of Exile 2.
In this case, you can get the unique “Executioner’s Guillotine” effect, which takes out your enemies with a guillotine falling from the sky.

Only 10 hours available
How do you get the animation? The execution effect will be distributed as a drop via Twitch. To receive it, you first need to link your “Path of Exile 2” account with your Twitch account. Simply go to the linked Path of Exile website and click on “Connect” next to Twitch in the “Other Connections” tab. After completing this, you should see on the website that your account is linked.
To claim your drop on Twitch, you must watch a Path of Exile 2 stream with drops enabled at the right time. The drops start on March 27 at 8:00 PM, and end the following day, March 28 at 6:00 AM. So you only have 10 hours to earn the drop.
To secure the execution effect, you need to watch a stream from the Twitch category “Path of Exile 2” for at least 2 hours within the 10 hours. Afterwards, you also need to claim your reward from your Twitch inventory for it to transfer to the game.
Here you can see the execution effect in action:
What happens if you miss the period? Many skins, effects, and other Twitch drops have been offered in the past as purchasable items in the shop later. However, you will not receive them for free; you will have to purchase them as regular items. In the case of the execution effects, this can cost between €10 and €18. Additionally, it could take several months or longer for the effect to appear in the shop.
Currently, everything in Path of Exile 2 is focused on the new season. The short duration of the reward likely aims to encourage viewers to tune in to the announcement livestream of the new expansion “Dawn of the Hunt” on the official channel.
