Patch 11.1 of World of Warcraft could become a real highlight. This is not only due to the gameplay but also to the accompaniment.
The next adventure of World of Warcraft: The War Within is apparently nearly finished. Patch 11.1 Lorenhalt has received a new version on the PTR which is marked as a “Release Candidate”. This means that only minimal balancing changes and bug fixes will be made until the release of this version.
However, with the last update, something else came into play – the music for the boss fights. And this is something completely new, at least for World of Warcraft.
What’s new? The latest update of the PTR traditionally brings not only the final balance changes but also the soundtrack of the new patch. And even though many WoW fans often have the music turned off (a sin, by the way), in Patch 11.1 it could be worth it – because those responsible for it have chosen a completely different music style.
What kind of music is this? The music is referred to in the game files as “Gallywix Combat 01 – 05”, so it will probably be played during the final confrontation with Gallywix in the liberation of Lorenhall:
The special thing about the music is that Blizzard has this time dispensed with the now “typical” boss fight music with epic choirs and instead relies on saxophone and drums. The music is more in the jazz category and reminds many of gangster movies set in the 50s or 60s.
Community celebrates the music exuberantly: In the World of Warcraft subreddit, the music is being discussed and basically receives praise from all sides. Even though the style does not quite fit the previous music selection of WoW, it does seem appropriate for the goblins – especially for the encounter with a cartel leader. Some voices from the community:

When will Patch 11.1 be released? There is still no specific release date for Patch 11.1 Lorenhalt. However, most people assume that the update will be released sometime in February, likely on February 26. An announcement for this date is expected next week.
With the patch, the toughest depths will also become noticeably easier. Because there will be better equipment. Logically.
