Starting tomorrow, Palworld is launching its version 1.0 and has already published the patch notes, though they are not readable.
What is wrong with the patch notes for version 1.0? The developers have been receiving constant questions about the patch notes for Palworld 1.0 for weeks. To finally have some peace, they have posted the patch notes on X.com.
However, they are not readable. The developers have zoomed out their patch notes so much and screenshotted them as a pixelated image that no one could read even a heading. The 27 pages are therefore illegible, which brings some laughter to fans, but also makes them a bit annoyed.
But that is not the only problem with the patch notes.
Here you can watch the trailer for version 1.0:
Patch Notes too large for Steam
What is wrong with the patch notes? Community Manager Bucky wanted to insert and format the now 40 pages of patch notes on Steam to create the typical update post that you know from games on the platform. However, there was a problem: Steam has a character limit of 32,000 characters.
However, the patch notes for the full version of Palworld amount to 66,550 characters (including spaces). For comparison: That corresponds to 2–3 chapters in a book like Harry Potter. So there’s quite a bit to read if you want to go through everything.
Could the problem be solved? Yes, the community manager altered the patch notes without omissions and reduced the character count to the necessary limit. The patch notes can therefore finally be read during the big update for Palworld tomorrow.
What should change? Even though the patch notes were not readable until now, some changes are already known. Palworld will change in the following ways:
- Pals: Palworld will get a bunch of new Pals to collect with version 1.0. There will also be new bosses.
- World: The game world of Palworld will be expanded with completely new areas. Among other things, you will finally be able to travel to the Life Tree.
- Story: The story of Palworld is also new. Starting from minute 1, you should be driven by it throughout the game. As a result, Palworld might even have an ending.
- Quality of Life: The developers plan to incorporate many features in the full version that will make the game more enjoyable for you. They have also likely worked on technical issues such as rubberbanding on servers.
