In Palworld, your Pals often do what you don’t want them to do. Especially stone, which you have in abundance after a short time. A player has now figured out a trick to “forbid” your Pals from completing certain tasks.
What is the problem? In Palworld, your Pals often do things you don’t want them to do. For example, the Pals continue to farm stone even when you have thousands of stones in storage, or they should instead mine a natural ore deposit.
Telling the Pals to do something else can only be done manually by picking up a Pal and throwing them to a different work spot. However, it sometimes happens that a Pal turns back and starts another task before the one assigned to them by you is completed.
On Reddit, the player AceITP has now discovered a trick to forbid all Pals from certain tasks without having to lift them. The post went viral because many players seem to be frustrated with the problem.

It’s all a matter of construction
How does the trick work? To prevent your Pals from working at certain workstations, you first need to place your workstations on elevated foundations, which you connect to the ground with stairs. It looks something like this:
It is important to note that all workstations you want to control must be connected by a staircase. So if, for example, you have 2 quarries where stone is being mined, you need to connect both using the same staircase. This is what it could look like:
To prevent your Pals from completing the tasks now, you simply need to dismantle the staircase leading to the foundations. This way, the Pals can no longer reach the work area and will automatically turn to a different task.
This gives you some control over what your Pals are doing in your base, without having to dismantle anything.
Why not simply delete the workplaces? Some users also asked this on Reddit. One reason speaks against deletion. Because each time you need the workstations again, you have to rebuild them, and that takes time. A staircase, on the other hand, can be built immediately, without much effort.
